Outdoor Life

The Grand Valley is one of the great places to live and play in the country.  Residents can simply step out their front door and participate in a wide variety of outdoor endevors.  The temperate climate of the high desert offers a nearly year round venue for hiking, cylcling, fishing, climbing, rafting, kayaking, golf, hunting, moto and equestrian sports.  Durring the winter the Valley is virtually free of snow but we're only 40 minutes away from the high alpine environment of the Grand Mesa.  There you will find snow snowshoe and cross country skiing trails in addition to our local ski area the Powderhorn Resort.  Vail, Aspen and Telluride are 2.5 hours away and the ski areas of Utah an easy 4 hour drive.

I am not going to tell you it's this good everyday but when Powderhorn gets a big dump,

even my friends who live in Aspen think it is a great place to be!
