After spending January and February enjoying the epic conditions at my favorite Mountain Venues in Utah, I got to see first hand what it was like shopping in your state run liquor stores.  The narrow selections, lack of personal service and outrageous prices you put up with are appalling....Most of all it just doesn't make sense to buy alcoholic beverages from a store whose owners (the state) don't drink!  Anyway we love our Utah customers and would like to get to know more of you so we thought we would introduce ourselves via the good folks at City Weekly.  A lot of you travel through Grand Junction and so we would like you to consider this a personal invitation to come and visit Crossroads Wine and Spirits!  ....Uncle Jerry

The Damn News

A while back the local newspaper in Junction quit running our ads that had our shop slogan and mission statement "The best damn liquor store on the western slope" because they received 10 complaints in one day!  Well it could have been competitors or it could have been folks who had too tight a grip on their philosophical views but generally speaking it was crap!  So we sent out our first newsletter asking if any of our customers were offended.  It was amazing we got back hundreds of responses stating that the we should keep the slogan and only 2 that were bummed!  Any ways the Damn News goes out via email once a week and highlights everything from our Free Friday and Saturday Wine & Beer tasting, Club Member Specials for the week, any ads we are running, Crossroads Sightings, Outdoor activities and local event info!  If you are not signed up you can go to our home page and either sign up for the letter or just click on the link to the Damn News on the toolbar at the top of the page!

Jerry, Eleni and Monty personally shop with customers helping them pick out assorted cases and sharing the benefits of their having tasted almost everything that is on the shelves!  Monty (our buyer and store manager) is a certified sommelier.  He is our resident wine geek yet easy going and accessable.  Jerry and Eleni (the owners) acquired their appreciation of the finer things via 25 years entertaining clients in from 26 countries throughout the Caribbean.  They also have a second sommelier, a lifetime member of the Society of Wine Educators and a chef on staff.  It is a very customer friendly shopping environment!

Wild Alaska Seafood delivered to your door! 

We bring in seafood from Cordova, Alaska and deliver to customers from Grand Junction to Telluride!  It's fresh frozen at the dock and is absolutely delicious.  Check out our recipe pages. Our clients have been eating Copper River King & Sockeye along with Red Snapper and Halibut since early last summer and it is delicious.  If there is sufficient interest it is likely we would start delivering to Utah.  For information please drop us an email with your contact info.
